Senior Project Manager

As a senior Project Manager, you have over 5 years of experience in managing (a portfolio of related) projects and their value streams :
- You create the business case and other relevant factors.
- You manage the (project) team and all relevant stakeholders towards the defined objectives;
- You work with development teams to size the objectives and provide input for prioritization;
- You create the estimates for the execution of the project plan, product deliveries, milestones, metrics;
- You identify the risks and manage the related contingency plans;
- You track the progress, follow up on the schedules and mitigate slippages;
- You ensure that the necessary environment (hardware and software) is available for the project.

Next to a proven experience in Project Management, you have the following core competences : Coaching, Collaborating, Critical thinking, Decision making, Effective communication, Group facilitation, Priority management, Result driven.
As Project Manager in Transformation at the client, you will be at the forefront of innovation and coach a dedicated team in delivering end-to-end solutions for both our valued customers and internal stakeholders.
You will lead projects and oversee the project portfolio of a specific strategic domain. An interesting combination! Your team? You functionally (indirectly) manage multiple teams in which you ensure that each team takes its responsibility in realizing the final projects. In your day-to-day operation, you can count on support from your direct colleagues, a clear governance (project life cycle) and program structure.
Your responsibilities include:
- Strategic leadership: Leading transformation projects from concept to execution, aligning them with overarching objectives.
- Team management: Inspiring and guiding a diverse team of professionals to achieve excellence in their respective roles, fostering collaboration and creativity.
- Problem solving thinking is essential in this role and at 2 levels:
1) Delivering projects: oversee the development and implementation of innovative solutions that enhance the banking experience for our clients and streamline internal processes.
2) Problem solving as an attitude: demonstrating adaptability and creativity in addressing complex challenges, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Stakeholder management: using proactive communication to ensure clarity within the team and across departments. In this way, you ensure engagement with all stakeholders throughout the life cycle (idea, work preparation, development, go-live) of the project.
- Managing Conflict: Skillfully handle conflicts and resolve issues that may arise during project execution, maintaining harmony and productivity within teams.
- Dealing with complexity: Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you will have the opportunity to lead on multiple projects where you work in a planned manner but at the same time be flexible enough to shift your priorities when needed.
