Public Procurement Consultant - Senior

Project/Department Description and responsibilities

Our client is currently looking for a full time Public Procurement Buyer for to support its Procurement department with a deep expertise in ICT purchasing and public tenders.

Primary Tasks and responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a specific public procurement procedures (purchasing of a SaaS HR Suite) guaranteeing a smooth running of the procedure (compliance with regulations and process, respect for deadlines, etc.) in order to obtain an efficient purchase.

Technical profile requirements

  • +5 years of experience in public procurement
  • Expert knowledge of Belgian Public Market legislation, compliance & procedures
  • Expertise in ICT purchase (SaaS solution purchase)
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office and eProcurement tools

Non-Technical profile requirements

  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on the human aspect
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills
  • Able to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines

Methodology/Certification requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Public Administration OR equivalent through experience.

Language proficiencies

  • NL is a must (most of the participants are Dutch speaking) + French
  • English
