Define the overall IT enterprise architecture strategy and roadmap
Translate needs into key business drivers to ensure appropriate architecture recommendations
Provide architecture recommendations based on a full analysis of the relevant perspectives (business needs, integration, ownership costs, maturity and readiness)
Establish an architecture design authority to manage adherence to the IT strategy and architecture principles
Monitor the execution of the architecture strategy through IT projects and business-as-usual initiatives, leading and facilitating the architecture decision-making process
Collaborate with the IT and Business teams to ensure their functional analysis and design strategies align with architecture principles
Establish standard documentation and communication plans for IT architecture standards
Look for cost-effective solutions and provide expert guidance on IT investment decisions
Perform enterprise architecture market analysis for key IT vendors and partners
Support Project Managers in providing advice and feedback on changes that may influence the overall architecture
This position requires extensive experience in implementing IT architecture and demonstrated leadership skills. As a qualified candidate for this position, you have:
A Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
A deep technical understanding of enterprise architecture and its frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman), with experience in one of more of the following: enterprise/domain architecture, technical/infrastructure architecture, integration architecture, information/data architecture, business architecture or strategic planning. Experience in information/data architecture is considered a strong asset
Extensive experience managing complex projects involving multiple technologies and platforms in a large organization
Demonstrated experience working through challenges across multiple teams to develop integrated, enterprise-wide solutions
In-depth knowledge of the current technologies and trends relevant to our various business units
An understanding of the software development lifecycle and related best practices
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels while navigating enterprise politics
A natural authority, with the ability to motivate staff and drive change in an organization
Demonstrated experience working in a cross-functional, matrix organization with many corporate levels and third-party vendors
