TMS Manager
The TMS Application Manager is responsible for managing the TMS (Transport Management System) applications in the Clients IT landscape. The management can consist of a new implementation, problem solving, training, a change or a migration from a legacy system to the standard system.
The key activities of the TMS specialist are the following:
• Translation of business owners’ requirements into functional and technical TMS designs in line with Benelux and European guidelines.
• Configuration of the transport management systems.
• Liaising with TMS vendor or development teams when necessary to provide the input they need to create enhancements.
• Test functional enhancements or configuration changes.
• Performing system testing and providing support during user acceptance testing.
• Creating reports based on TMS data.
• Building interfaces to integrate Yusen TMS systems with customers and partners.
• Evaluation of new TMS versions.
• Troubleshooting incidents.
• Suggesting/recommending TMS improvements and innovation.
• Transferring knowledge (training) business users and IT colleagues
What are we looking for:
• Bachelor/Master degree
• Practical experience implementing, configuring and supporting transport management systems
• Profound knowledge of transport processes.
• Good knowledge of SQL and databases.
• Understanding about EDI and interfaces.
• Profound TMS knowledge.
• Reporting, preference Crystal reports – SSRS.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good communication skills in Dutch and English, both spoken as written.
• Project management skills.
